TRY HACKING INTO THE MAIN FRAME.

Isn't that usually the sign of a blown fuse?

Is the powerboard outputting voltage?
Is the LED on?
Do the chips get hot?
Does the lazer move/disc spin?

Okay, if it was being powered correctly, the chips should be hot, the laser should atleast move, with the cover "closed," so check your power wires.

And buy a multimeter.

I already have, and have used, a multimeter.
also, I long ago bridged the pins of the lid sensor.

I added the DD pcb and DD, but no pins are bridged.

Try unplugging it, if you can. or, if its wired, search for the pinout and remove all the gnds.

I assume the voltage is coming out of the reg.

Well, I already compleately stripped the whole thing after this started, so, all I have is the reg hardwired on and that's it.

is video going to a screen or the tv?

EDIT: If its fried, I have a working gc that just needs the DD to be hardwired to it.
