Remember the LED Marquee Best Buy gift cards from last year? No? oh well.
This year they have gift cards that are powered speakers for an mp3 player or similar device. I bought 7 of them at $0.01 each!

I forgot to put the power switch back in.

Steal the penny thats on here, I dont care.

Back plate removed.

if anybody has a bestbuy local and wants to pick up a bunch i would be willing to pay cost plus shipping for 3-5 of them, MUCH easier and cheaper than building your own lm368 based audio amps!

When does this sale thingie end? We just got a local best buy 10 minutes from my house.

shmellyfart, they let you put $0.01 on them? I thought you needed to put at least a dollar.

Just called two Best Buys.

One said that you have to put at least $50 on it, the other said that you used to have to put $25 on it, but they are out of stock.

yes they did let me put a penny one them. I found that out with the marquee gift cards. I told the cashier I wanted a dollar on them and he said, "you know you can put a penny on these?" Most of the people I got said that they have never put a penny a gift card before.

Kyo: Yeah, You grab the giftcards off the rack, take them to the cashier and say you want a penny on each of them. Tell them some BS like its a joke, its someones present. If you say you want it for the stuff inside, Best Buy will catch on eventually and make you put a minumum balance of $5 or something like that. I know target caught on. When they had the Wii giftcards with the blue leds, there was no minimum balance. But with a flashlight giftcard, there was a minimum balance of $5.

Kurt: Actually Im not sure if its a season thing or not because there isnt anything that is holoday themed on the card.

Triton: Send me a PM if you want them.

Also, If anyone wants some of the marquee ones, I have a bunch of those laying around too

They are lying, I just got back from best buy with 10 giftcards for 10 cents

How about hooked up to headphones? Is the amp lame, or the speaker?

Dunno.
Could just be the speaker

The amp itself is a little TDA2822M Dual-Amp.
About as simply as you can get for a little stereo audio amp like this.
Obviously this only outputs mono

But the Amp can be rigged for Stereo!

Neat little thing, I may be able to use it as-is!

With a little work this schematic i did for project_failure could probably work with that IC. i dont remember what IC this schematic is for actually (a stereo audio amplifier i know that)
