z64 Help

Hi guys, hope i'm not too off topic here but struggling to find a relevant forum to ask for help.

I have a z64 bios 1.18c with hard drive set up replacing the zip drive. This configuration has worked fine for a few years now but suddenly it has stopped working. Whenever I turn it on the LCD lights up but displays nothing and the internal beeper goes off continuously! Any idea if the constant beeping is a sign the RAM or something else may have blown? Dont think its the power supply as the hard drive whirrs when i turn it on. Have checked all internal connections are still in and they are fine.
