I think you'd have better luck signing up for a third party payment system like PayPal. Most people here would be hesitant to mail cash or a check, especially since you're new in town.

Yeah, I would be too. The thing is though I don't have a credit card and I don't know my bank account number (parents control that)bicostp wrote:I think you'd have better luck signing up for a third party payment system like PayPal. Well, ask your parents for it. You should really not be selling stuff without their permission, and I for one would never pay someone who may be forbidden to complete the transaction by their parents. Did it once, never again.
Also, you will not get much money for stuff here. The stuff people sell here is either stuff that the modding community is likely to buy, or stuff that they would rather see go to a good home. I personally like knowing who my stuff is going to.
If you want to make money, and your stuff is worth anything, craigslist, eBay, and Amazon are good places to start.

you don't need an actual credit card. Buy a mastercard or visa giftcard. They act just the same as a credit card, except they only go to $100. I use them on paypal to pay for things. Aslo, if somebody steals the number on the giftcard, the thief can only use it up to the card limit, not your life's savings.

and the constant mentioning of "or best offer" and "prices are NEGOTIABLE" go unnoticed by the unheeding masses

I haven't been here in awhile, and looking back it's one of the worst ideas I ever had. I'm back and I'll be here for awhile, I was quite active 1 year ago and I hope to become that again.
