does such a thing exist?
I have an S controller and a Logitech wireless controller and both suffer from horribly unresponsive buttons and stiff triggers (not to mention awkward shapes) in spite of being near mint. I have taken the Logitech apart and it is spotless inside, so apparently that's just how it normally works, which sucks. I can barely even play Tony Hawk because the buttons never register. Is there ANY comfortable XBOX controller that has buttons that actually do something when you press them? I just soft modded it and the emulators run great, but with crap controllers its not very enjoyable.
good controller for original XBOX?

Trust me, I know when cleaning is the problem, this is just a case of crap controller design. Yes, the buttons work, but just the pure design of the buttons requires you to push hard to make the connection. Buttons like the start and back buttons work great, but they are the traditional design, all the other face buttons are some weird design. You have to understand, I'm talking about arcade microswitch responsiveness here, like 6-button Genesis controller responsive (after being cleaned). When I took it apart I didn't have anything to clean it with, so I just put it back together, I guess I could try wiping the contacts and silicon inserts and see what happens, but I remember XBOX controllers always having crap responsiveness compared to other systems. To clarify further what I mean: if I push it lightly and it goes past what I'll call the "spring point" (the point where you can feel it jump down suddenly, as all buttons do), it won't do anything, I have to push it past that before it actually responds. It is a huge pain the ass on games where you don't hold the buttons and really wears my fingers out (which are already usually tired from doing other crap with my hands all day...like typing and fixing god damn broken 360s).vskid wrote:Sounds like your controllers are dirty, has anything been spilled on them?
