Another "zing" towards Palmer! Again it looks better in person, but it looks eons better than my GBA mod did.

Current Score:

Ideas: PalmerTech 2, Bibin 1

Actually made: PalmerTech 1, Bibin 2

So, PalmerTech 3, Bibin 3.

However, Bibin made a guide, so that is another point at least. :P

Good job on doing this! I did this the wrong way, I made it work, but never put it together, still have it lying out of case, you you beat me fair and square. Bibin showed me a page on a Japanese guy who did this, but I figured this out all on my own, and relayed the info to Bibin, who, being far more productive and focused than me, actually did something with it.

One question: Did you have to trim down the inner plastic much? I screwed up my screwposts (lol), and so I need a new GBC case to put my final product in.

Also, this is personal opinion, but IMO, clear cases with frontlight showing through is fail. It makes it look unprofessional and haphazard, even though that is not the case.

And one final thing: I WILL BEAT YOU NEXT TIME BA HAHAHAHA! I have been working on a method to backlight a gameboy color, I am 90% sure it will work. My main problem will be that the GBC lcd is not as transmissive as the sources my method is designed for, so it may only be about as bright as a DS Phat, even with a backlight from a DS Lite.

HAY YOU SHOULD OVERCLOCK IT!

EDIT: Funny quote from earlier this evening on gChat: "We need to promise to release our work in tandem at the same time, that way, we will both get equal credit".

5 minutes later: "I am gonna pull out my soldering iron to work on my frontlight, already done with most of the light guide".

30 minutes later: "Actually, I think we should just post our work separately".

5 minutes after that statement: "PIC OF GAMEBOY WITH LIGHT!!11 *link*"

I think its okay, too.

Remember, I've got some spare time this week. Consider the fact I'm waiting on packages, I might pull out mAh GBC and get to workin!

Did anyone catch my power joke?

Looks good! I'm going to do one of my GBCs soon.

I've been playing a ton of Gameboy color lately. What a badass system! Too bad it didn't come out sooner, and with a lit screen! I did front-light mod on my clear purple one a while back, but I used an afterburner kit I got second-hand. The thing was all scratched up from the previous owners install job so I took it back out. SP light is definitely the way to go.

Good work, the GBC is a bit dark normally.

It looks pretty good, even better in video than in the picture!
