Now, if only we could split ps2, gc, and xbox away from ps3, wii, and 360, then life would be good.

we should make a forum for dreamcast, ps2, gc, and xbox. a lot of people do not believe that the dreamcast is a last gen system, even though the last liscensed game for it was made in 2007(although there actually were two liscened games for the 3do that came out in 2007 too, but that doesn't count.)
rest in peace, Ronnie James Dio! \m/

True, but the actual DC itself was discontinued more than 5 years earlier. Why would those 3DO games not count? Just because they are REALLY old?
The DC is a nice piece of kit, but calling it a last gen system is really a stretch. It was more of halfway gen.
Also, there is still a dreamcast game publisher making games.
On topic: I felt like the hokey descriptions (Rhubarb growing under porch, etc.) added character to the forum. This ranks up with the removal of the "chip" at the top of the forum (Remember that?).
Unfortunately, I can see why it was done. It does make it more clear to new people where to post, and I guess it streamlines design a bit. One of the cons of growing more mainstream.
Question: Lets assume that in the future (At least a few years) the BenHeck forums become completely flooded with n00bs, attracted by 360 laptops. They are flash-ad laden, with pop-up screensaver ads.
In this theoretical situation, Portables of Doom is given an overhaul, with better design, a re-incarnated forum, and fast hosting.
In this situation, what would you do? Abandon these forums for POD? Post at both? Stay? I doubt this will happen, as it would require extremes to all ends, but just curious as to the loyalty here.

The Dreamcast already has its own forum.themadhacker wrote:we should make a forum for dreamcast, ps2, gc, and xbox.
I agree that the 360, PS3, and Wii should have their own subforum, since they're starting to get more attention (and because suddenly everyone wants to make 360 laptops). Look for a poll in the existing PS2/Xbox/GCN/PS3/360/Wii forum.

Could the name of the Development Center be changed to Software Development Center? I've noticed many n00bs posting portable questions there. Same with the book's forum, stuff gets posted there that isn't about portables in the book.
Not that any changes would matter... *grumbles about stupid people*

thats because you have been here 6 monthsI think it's crap. I've never seen a discussion about those subjects get out of hand for any reason other than it being against the rules.
