Question about Harshboy Wiring Diagram

What are the three purple wires on the bottom right of the PSone Screen? Do they do anything and do I have to wire them like that?

I'm guessing you're just supposed to bridge them and leave them, that's what the diagram says.

They are Headphone left, right and switch. If you are just using the speakers and not headphones, you need to wire these three wires together or you get no audio; if you are using headphones you need to wire them approproately to a headphone jack alternatively.

Bacteria is right, its only there if you dont want to have a headphone jack really, otherwise you slap on a headphone jack and there you go

and if bacteria or anyone looks back at this thread:

how do I wire a slot fan (or any fan for that matter) to a polaroid 7V battery?

Fans, eg computer fans, ideally like 12v but will work fine at 7v. Use 7v (ideally 7.2v or 7.4v) to power your screen and fan.

If I am not mistaken, the "switch" line is the way the screen knows if headphones are plugged into the jack. If they are, then the screen cuts the output to the speakers and pipes the sound through the jack.
