ps1 screen power question

ps1 screen power question
Could I power the ps1 screen from the Dreamcast power or do i need a PSU first to power it?

No do NOT hook up the screen to the Dreamcast Psu.
The PS1 screen needs between 7v and 8.5v to operate.
So no you can't just hook up to the Dreamcast PSU since it is 12v, 5v, and 3.3v.
You will need a 7808 attached to the 12v line to drop the voltage to around 7.8v for the screen.
