I'd love to go to one of these some time, but I'll probably be flying out to Portland the weekend after, and going NY to OR to NY to WI to NY is a bit too much for my bank account and my classwork.

That's an awesome idea! Although I won't be able to be there, perhaps someone could set up a webcam at the show and broadcast it on justin.tv or something so everyone can participate.

Hmmm, what if we could think of a fairly easy mod (2600 A/V mod, perhaps?) have little bags of parts needed for said mod, and have a few of us on hand to mod other people's 2600's for a reasonable price? Something like 2600 A/V while-u-wait. I dunno, but it could spark other ideas, if nothing else.

Yeah, same here. I must make an attempt to make it this time around, even if I must drive myself (I seriously HATE driving). Last time I was gonna go until all my friends but one who were gonna go with decided to get drunk the previous night, and as a result, we had no car for the trip...

Heck yes, sounds awesome! I plan on coming (because it's awesome and I'll be on spring break yeah!!!) and I'll probably bring my Neo Geo because it rocks, and a little screen to play it on too. And if I have my famicom portable started by then I can bring bits of that as well.

BTW, I couldn't come last year because it was over the Triduum/Easter, which all you Roman Catholics know means I had to be present at all kinds of events/masses, etc. as I am a Roman Catholic seminarian. Which was very good, but this year Easter isn't so early so it all works out better.

Actually yes, I live fairly close to I-94!

A ride would be really really nice, not just because I hate driving, but it'd also be nice to go with someone who knows exactly were they're going, lol.

If the crew decides to go, and not drink this time around, perhaps you could stop around anyway, so we can follow you.

Hey Sponge, I'll be taking I-94 all the way from Michigan up to Wisconsin. If you want I can pick you up if it's on the way. Josh might even be coming, he has to clear it with his dad first.

The Benheck.com Experience? Damn I guess I need to start getting that MVS that 's been sitting around getting dusty rolling.

As for mods at the show; cartridge slot replacement (always nice to see how it's done), of course the A/V mod on the Atari (a classic), and battery mod (simple but practical).

Or really it'd be killing two birds with one stone, but just highlight the parts when building the portable. After all it too you guys what three, three an a half hours to build Project Failure's portable?

Note to Ben:
If you could bring wire cutters. I'm not sure if I can trust these guys with one of my pocket knives again. I'm kidding, but seriously, bring the wire cutters.
