What Batteries Should I Get?

Can somebody point me in the direction of Some batteries, A protection Circuit and A charging Circuit.

Also can I have a pin out of this batteries becuase I dont understand where ground is on the batteries (cause I'm a N00b)

batteryspace.com has some good deals. They have protection circuits (only needed for lithium ion) and chargers, too.

We can't really point you to a specific battery, because we don't know what you're trying to power and how much you're willing to spend.

And there isn't a "ground" on batteries because they don't connect into the ground. what is normally "ground" on most consoles, you just hook up to the battery's negative. negative and positive, that's it.

Wrong.

Both Liion and Lipoly need protection/charging circuits; and just about anything Batteryspace sells you comes with one.

Wrong . If you buy individual cells you will need to by the appropriate charger and protection circuit.

As already pointed out above , you didn't give enough information to answer the question.

What are you building, what system/screen etc?
How long do you want it to last?
How much room do you have for batteries?
Is weight a factor?

Not Sure if going to do LED Mod on screen
3-4 Hours
I'm Vacuum forming a case so it can be any size but i prefer smaller.
Yes I want it to be light-ish

at least 2500mah but get the biggest capacity you can afford and will fit in your case, you will need 2 cells and the apropriate protection circuit as well as a voltage regulator or two. shouldnt be more than 60 or 80$ depending on how big of batteries you choose

Hello!
I'm in the process of making a portable snes too. however i'm going to take it slooooow. as for the screen, i have to decide between a psone or a gamecube one.

But the first step will be to wire a battery and make it run from there (everything else still original and "cased").

Can you tell me please, if it will be ok?
it's 2000mah, and it says "FUSIBLE DE SEGURIDAD INTERNO" (internal security fuse). i'm lost there... does it mean that i won't need a protection circuit? and yes, i will be getting two of them.

i don't care if the system lasts less than 2 hours on, since it's a first attemp at doing a portable.

on the down side, they are selling an external charger, which seems uncomfortable... i can't find the plug type...

You could always get the pack I got. Works nicely. Small. Light. Comes with a charger and assorted adapter plugs.

I'm not 100% sure yet, because I'm not even close to being ready to test that stage. But I estimate 2 hours (Cutting it short, because mathematically its closer to 2.8 hours).

I may, in the future get another pack and rewire the whole rig to accept two batteries so I can double the run time. That's a future thing, though, as I have no money for the second set.
