SNES size

Hey guys,

i have a few questions about the SNES.

i'm planning to make a NES portable (yeah i know without the S ) but then i had a brilliant idea, not sure if its possible thatswhy these questions come in.

whats the size of the SNES board? L x W x H is it simmilar to NES or even smaller?

is the powering the same (so i can put the battery transformer part in the accu"box" and just connect this with some pinout to the SNES/NES/LCD box

well that kinda explained my idea, click youre 4 box matches together and you have youre portable for that day

Well, they both need 5V, so you could make two portables that use the same pair of batteries, but the boards of the NES and SNES are completely different, they're not similar.

I suppose they both have a 7805, so you could connect that with some wires which would go to a battery port.

Do you perhaps also know the size of the board, i understand that theyre completely different, i just need to know the size, thatway i know how big the screen and batterypack can be so it still clicks in 1 piece and have a nice look.

(just need to know if the NESboard is bigger or not) if thats the case i can start the design for NES portable and then make the same thing (without battery and screen so i can simply clickon the other part (SNES) to my basic design.)

bad ascii but the --- as lcd, == as SNES or NES ++ as batterypack and buttons for example (this would be the side view )

hope this shows more preciesly what i'm trying to accomplish...

the NES part is working already (just need a battery now i'm using still 220volt and a converter need to replace that)

and now i'm working out how the design should look like... so if i could use the default lcd+battery+controlls then i can just make the NES/SNES part slidable in my design like the SNES / NES is a cardridge ...

okee maybe my description method is kinda bad but i'm trying to give an impression on what i'm thinkgin about and english isn't my first language haha.

okee, well i'm still like waiting for some help with the boardsize of a normal SNES, then i can start making the design of the portable ...

atm i've made a mall for the screen, the battery pack and the controller, so if i know the size for SNESboard i can start to make the mall for the part everything gets atached to ...

A Snes board is about 7.5"(length) x 6.5"(width) x 1"(height). This was one of the old ones with the separate sound module.
The later model boards may be slightly smaller.
