PS2 Fat DD in Slim PS2?

This seems to be along the lines of the Xbox 360 slot loader.

Would it be possible to put the fat slot loader into a slim PS2?
Actually, ANY slot loading drive for that matter.

This would make PS2 portables a lot more awesome.

By fat slot loader, do you mean from the fat PS2, because that had a disk tray...

Maybe take the disk tray from a fat and combine it with the moving parts of a slot, like the 360 slot loader...

Jesus, this site is laggy today, and there's no one on the forums.
I wish there was a separate server (or at least a partition) for the forums so they wouldn't ever do this.
