I am bringing back this thread.
Look, finals are over, it is Christmas break, he SHOULD be able to say SOMETHING. Furthermore, he continued to post on the gp32x forums for a few weeks after he disappeared from here, and all PMs to him were read and ignored. I have sent him PMs here, those were also read and ignored. He has been online multiple times on the forums, and occasionally pops up on AIM sporadically. People have seen him on Facebook.
My point is, he IS on the internet. He is CHOOSING to screw me and a few other people over.
The responses I have gotten from people are things like "Oh, he will work it out eventually". Guess what? He sent me a SmartQ T5 II ($140) that I bought from him, and when it comes (NO INSURANCE, though I told him to) it is broken! I assumed that somehow, he sent it working, and it broke on the way. Luckily, it was still under warranty, so he tells me to send it to be repaired. I give them the serial number, they accept it. Because it is being shipped to a different address than the one it was ordered from (His) they need an order number (Which CTF has in an email) before they can send it back, to prove that I did not steal the unit from him.
I have 2 days to get this number, or my warranty claim is void, and I NEVER get my SmartQ. Not only have I waited months to get it, but now, it looks like I may NEVER get it.
He has left at LEAST 2 other people hanging on deals, and at this point, it is very clear that he has become some sort of scammer. If it was a family emergency, he should NOT be on facebook, AIM, and other forums.
I know you can see this, CTF, and if you do not respond, then it is time to add you to the scammer list. Simple as that.

Well, if all this is true, which it's looking likely to be, (one last scam to make some money before he leaves for good or whatever), we should strip him of his moderator privileges, and possibly put up a temp ban (a month or so) after which he will have a few days to respond with some lame excuse before we do a permanent ban. Or whatever.
Hey, sup?
let's not jump to conclusions. Maybe he's just really unreliable, in which case we could still get the money slash warranty back. He doesn't seem like the kinda guy who would just go crap insane and start scamming people. Besides what palmertech wants does not cost him any money and barely any time.
