Searching For a PSP Plugin
I am currently searching for a plugin that would be compatible with 5.00 M33-3 that would allow me to have a folder with in a folder so the directory would look like this
PSP->MUSIC->ARTIST->ALBUM->MP3 FILE
because currently you are unable to do so with the music player

so far, i know no way how to do this, if there was a way, i think i would have it...
All you could do is ask sony if they would put such thing into the next fw or ask dark_alex to build it in to the next cfw.
but asking sony would probably be better, becuase than more people that aernt on cfw can use it aswell....
or you could always try and make a plugin like that yourself.
If you do attempt it, and it works, post it here somewhere and ill get it =D

What? Making a simple filesystem plugin should be easy for someone (Like Boombox!) who can compile a custom firmware that allows bi-rendered images to be displayed over the serial lines and video lines at the same times to accomplish dual displays!
There is a CFW package for 3.9 that does this, forget the name though.
And asking Sony will not get you anywhere

but still, he is partially right, if you can compile a cfw, then that will give you an advantge of making your own plugin. even if you know the basics of C++, there ar toones of tuts on how to make a PSP plugin for 3.71 M33-4 to 4.01 M33-2, 5.00 M33-X gets harder since the ofw has different coding and filenames from the firmwares before.
just ask your question on http://www.psp-hacks.com/ forums or http://www.pspslimhacks.com/ forums.
people there are more experienced with the PSP plugins than most on this site.
@plamertech:
depends on what your asking,
if you ask them to be able to play games off the mem stick without CFW, well, you go no where, because they like limiting what you can do.
just make up some crap about a bug, i cant think of any ideas now....

"Oh hey Sony, there is a bug, please fix it by changing the way the Music player works111!"
No, they will NOT listen. In fact, it is against company policy to listen. And most company's are like that, including Apple. See, people submit these ideas, and:
A. They may try to later claim rights for the idea
B. A different comapny may have grounds to sue for patent infringment
C. The company with patent is baiting them for suit.
They actually make a point of not even reading improvement ideas, it is in the EULA for the PSP, in fact.
And I am completely right, not partially right. I said three things: CFW will do it, Sony will not listen, and any engineer with the skills to hook up a second screen or a camera to a PSP would be able to do this easily. So why am I "partially right".

hooking up a camera to use the option under the photo menu on the PSP is easy, hook up the wire thats under the USB to be able for the PSP to read the (official) camera, cut it, and hook it up to the camera you inbuilt.
quite easy actually... ( search google, i gave you the basics )
and whats the point of me making the plugin i probably wont even host it so others can see, so its pointless for me to make it....

LOL@PHAIL.
I am starting to doubt you have even USED an OFFICIAL PSP camera. "I gave you the basics"?
Point 1: The PSP only works with CAMERA MADE TO WORK WITH IT
Point 2: Cameras that are NOT made to work with the PSP WILL NOT WORK with it
Point 3: PSP DOES NOT HAVE USB HOST! The PSP CANNOT act as a USB host, it was not designed to. What does this mean? It can only connect to a USB host, not a slave. Which brings us to...
Point 4: THE PSP CAMERA IS A USB HOST!!!111ZORZ.
I am laughing that you really think you are giving me a basic tutorial on something that not only have you lied and said you done, but IS NOT POSSIBLE. At least before, you were able to say "I am not going to post a tutorial", but now that you have revealed the "secret", it completely blows away any credibility you may have had.
And about the plugin: Nobody hosts PSP homebrew themselves. They submit it to homebrew sites, which host it for them, or they get a FREE blog and host it there. Not very hard, dude, if you can reverse engineer a psp, you SHOULD be able to figure out how to attach a file and email it to a homebrew site.
Please, by all means, tell me I am wrong, or only "Partially right". I am always very open to new knowledge, and a lot of things have happened that I used to think they were impossible. If you say have done it, please, explain, and I rescind all insults I have bestowed upoun you.

I should have done this, but decided not too, since I could not embed it, and the link dies after a few days.
