GC video problems :'( [ fixed :) ]
Ok, so i installed the 5 wire power reg board mod, everything ok. Now i installed a memory card internally, it works but the display is really fuzzy and distorted. I found a small chip had fallen off, and done a repair on it which looks ok, but still no luck. Is this related?
Look just under the screw hole.

Not likely? I dont know.
CHeck to make sure your AV wires arent bridged.
Oh, here is something I learned too: Dont let your power reg wires be too close, I got a semi fuzzy screen. Try trouble shooting there.

The wires were bound together, and when i moved them apart the screen inproved. I have worries, the negative line gets really hot very quickly, the actual wire is hot. I might try a new regulator board i have here.

OMG QUAD POST!
Yeah, how thick are your wires? Single strand is a no no for power, only use multi.

Sorry abou tthat haha, benheck.com has been timing out on me all day
Ok, i replaced the regulator with another one i have, no change in video. I also noticed i knocked off a few small resistors next to the power in on the GC mobo. I stole some from a dead mobo and put them on, but no difference. Cable is still hot.
I am using IDE cabling for wire, its multi strand.

They are so damn small its hard to tell
I'll try and get my hands on a magnifying glass. No, i think i knocked them off when taking the power connector off, and moving the mobo aroudn to put the memory card wires in.
I'll try adding another ground.
Thte 1.9v line (the one with 6 points on the mobo) is that meant to have one wire from the regualtor going to 6 points?

Ahh, could be the solution
Its strange, my first-start language select screen looks pretty good, but the main menues look horrible. I'll add a few grounding wires and report back
Also, my dad has gotten me a glue gun to borrow, no more knocking out resisters/ cable pulling

Could you point me in the direction of another grounding pin on the regulator and GC mobo please. My instint tells me the on above the ground i used ont he regulator is a ground ( they look to be on the same trace).
EDIT: Got the info for the the pinout now & i posted it up.

It's me being a tool, i shouldn't have all these late nights. I went to post, then throught 'dammit double post' and hit stop but it was too late haha
Result, Kasar you're awesome man, i added a second ground wire and i have perfect video now
I'm going to add a 3rd one just to be on the safe side, as they still get a little warm. Awesome
