First Console Mod/Portable you've done?

Post by Meowcat »

So what was your first console modification and/or portable you've made? (that you're proud of I guess :D ) Pictures would be great!

The most modifying I have done, except the ps1p I'm working on at the moment, would probably have been when I started soldering led lights to my xbox controller, I was pretty chuffed about the rumble activated one. Although my first ever mod I think was replacing the joysticks with playstation ones. Happy days.

I'd mention pc mods but they don't feel as satisfactory as console mods.

Sorry if a topic like this already exists.

I'm not sure what my first mod was. It's most likely changing LEDs. It's a very simple way to learn soldering basics. lol

I've yet to actually complete a portable. I had a go with a Hyperkin NOAC, but the traces lifted right off the board. I ended up selling the screen, and I haven't been able to afford another one since.

My first console modification was replacing the red LED in my NES with a green one. I still love how much better it looks than red. :)

First mod? No idea. The mod I'm proudest of: My 6th N64p.

I've been thinking a lot. I honestly don't remember. I think it was something like disabling a lockout chip on a SNES
