GC intergrated pwr regulator with mobo?

So what revision mobo have the power regulator built in? Never seen one, anyone have pics?

Maybe not impossible, but I'm sure someone will have to pioneer that. It looks hard, I saw one up close. For now, those are the most unwanted gamecubes.

Look at the topic in this section about the "breakthrough." We dont need a 12v step up or step down, the 12v line can be powered off of as little as 5v.

With the powerboard intergrated, it would be next to impossible to use any batteries that are under 12v. You would have to isolate the 1.9v, 3.43v, 5v, and 12v pins away from the onboard PSU, and then input you own. That would include some heavy tracing and trace cutting; not what we want.

Using a board with a powerboard means that all you have to do is remove the port(rip and bend, same as N64 exp) and then solder on 4 wires.
