DS Lite LED mod

So I'm trying to do a LED mod in my DS Lite. The led is 20mA, and takes 3.2V-3.8V. I've scoured the internet for actual pictures and explanations of how to do it, and the only place that actually has an explanation (n-mod.com), is having picture problems. There were two pictures on there that I think have something to do with it.

Can anyone inform me?

Are you trying to hook it up to the DS?

If so, attach the wires to the first and last pins on the GBA slot. Nice, regulated power.

I'm trying to get the DS symbol on the top lit up. Because I can't get an LED between the case and the lcd of the top screen, I'm going to try and get a led to shine up from around the microphone. I'm going to lightproof the inside of the top case so it won't shine out blue through the case, besides the symbol.

I had seen a how-to on Instructables that hooked up with the GBA slot, but the pictures are terrible.

Hi Palmertech,

Isn't it the 2nd pin on the left hand side, and the 3rd pin going away from the right hand side.

Atleast, that's the pins I was using when putting LED's in dust covers.

Edit: Also, because it puts out 3.3v+ and most modern day LED's req. a forward voltage of 3.2v you can easily get away with not using any resistors.

The end pins work, and the power is exactly what I need for this LED. But I think I'm just going to buy another LED, and make the shoulder buttons glow instead.

That is mine.

If you want to get the logo to light up, you will need to sand away most of the inner plastic on the inside of the lid, then sand down the LED. It *should* fit. or, you could use some EL film.

@TysonDS: Nope, both of the end pins for me.

I bet there are multiple ways to do it.
