lovely little Linux problem I've been having...

Post by SpongeBuell »

Hi everybody! (Hi Doctor Nick! :P )

lately when I boot Linux, I can only get into a command line. I try "startx" but it doesn't work. I get the following error:

Code: Select all

XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0" after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
I tryed xorgconfig, but no luck. Anyone know how to fix this? I am running SuSE 9.2 Professional.

Thanks,
SpongeBuell

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

Try asking around here: http://forums.suselinuxsupport.de/
Maybe Unidentified Assilant can help, he knows all this stuff about "Connection reset by peer". He even has a little trophy/statue thingie!
