Check which legs are connected to which parts with a multimeter

Paint.net

or whatever image-maker you prefer.

Just draw a black square, label the pins with numbers(if there are any silkscreened ones use those) and then tell where the pins go.

You don't even need a fancy program like paint.net. Paint itself will do

I can't scrape the white covering off to save my life, any tips? and kyo what were you talking about checking with a multi meter?

Try sanding it, it worked well for me.

A multi meter is a handy little device that acts as a continuity tester, among other things.

You simply place one pin on a button pad, and the other pin on the IC chip. Move the 2nd pin over all the leads in the IC until it beeps (well, mine beeps) signifying you have found a match.

Repeat this and make a pinout.

BTW: sorry if you know this already, this is just how I interpreted your post.

I knew what a multimeter is just what setting does it have to be on? e.g. amps, volts, ohms?(haven't used my multimeter much) I will try sanding, all I tried was an exacto-knife, a scisors, and just a plain knife.

Ohms, specifically the one that beeps (just put the two leads together and if it beeps, thats the setting you need to use). You should be able to just put the lead on the button pad, or follow the trace until there's a copper dot. Then you run the other lead across the leads until one beeps.

Ohms, I believe.

Yes, sand both sides, and remove all the components and then scan them in: that would be great, and a self explanatory pinout.
