NOAC From weird thing called Top Gun [pics included]

Hello!
I just got interested in the whole portable love machine building thing after seeing some of bens vids on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIA46yLCD1E
When i saw the games menu I went "Hey I have one of those crappy things!".

I Got this thing called "Top Gun" when I was 11 (i think) as a reward for doing a crap load of homework in one night.
The pictures below is how it looks before and after I chopped it up.
And the Joystick works unlike on the super joy III

From some quick research I guess the blue slot is a 60 pin (30x30 pin) famicom slot? Could I convert it by simply buying one of those "60-72 Pin Famicom-NES Adapter"? Like this one: http://hkgtoys.com/search.php?page=family_converter

well, other that that, the thing is identical. Oh, and that is a famicom slot, and can use a 60-72 pin converter

Yes, if you just get the converter, it will play regular NES games. I don't know if it does the NES light gun games, but it worked with the regular games.

Then I guess there is only three parts to get it going. One, getting LCD screen plugged in. Second, getting the control going. And third, mount it all into a sexy case!

That light gun is compatible with the original NES light gun games? I'm asking because I never thought to test it when I had a Power Joy. The built-in light gun games were exact copies.

New questions:

#1. Maybe a stupid question but its for all that have the Top Gun or the Power-Joy. What does the black cable do? (the one that runs along with AV cables) I can't remember

Is it external power?

#2. Any pointers on how to make it run of a rechargeable battery?

#3. How does a typical connection to a LCD screen of some mini TV look like?

1.- Yes, that is for an external power adapter. I think it's a 5 or 6 volt supply.

2.- Check the stickies. All the info is there, as well as diagrams.

3.- You're probably going to be wiring straight to the controller board to run your audio and video.
