WTT: PS2 for PS2.

Post by Sun-Wukong »

Sounds weird, I know. Let me explain. I have a PS2 with a controller port that just doesn't work. All I know is, there's a prong missing in the controller I was using when it happened and I just can't do anything with any of my other controllers either. I figured, "Hey, you don't really need the first controller port if you want to make a hand held out of it. I could probably trade it on benheck." I know what you're thinking, why trade a fully working PS2 for a slightly messed up one? So, I'll throw in a Dreamcast Rumble Pack, two controllers (one is the one with the prong missing, the other one won't work for an entirely different reason. I'm sure you could find something to do with them.) and... I dunno, I got $10 to spare, I could throw that in too.

The system w/cords, the top two controllers, and the rumble pack.

Thing is, I don't have any money, save for the $10 I threw in.

DO you know if that is exactly what the problem is? I've done a bunch of repairs on Ps's. You should be able to get a controller port off of ebay for the $10 you're sporting.

If it really is just a missing/broken pin, I have extra pins that I have in my trade thread. I can't remember if you need a male or female...

Thanks, I might try that even though I wouldn't know the first thing about replacing it. Well I guess the first thing would be unscrewing it and opening it up- never mind.

As for the pins, I'm assuming the male is from the controller and the female is from the system, a male one is missing but it's stuck in the female one or something.

male has the points or prongs, female is a hole which the male pins go into. for a broken controller port, you need male.
