I got to Micro Center in Troy about 11 almost noon. The line when my dad and I were going to check out, wrapped around half the store's main floor. Took us about 15-20 minutes to got to a register.

I didn't go there to buy a lot of stuff. I believe you Christmas shop when you have an idea of who you're buying presents for, and then you know what to buy.

As for me I bought a 320GB 2.5 external hard drive, and Linux Forums magazine. The hard drive was $80!!!. I couldn't believe it, cause an internal and enclosure were going to run me $135. So yay for me.

1) Now y'all be responsible this year, and only spend money you have.

[/lowblow]

2) [LateResponse] I must admit, black friday has become more civilized in recent years.

3) Nobody's died of Boxing Day sales. It's not the same as Black Friday. [/LateResponse]

Didn't some Wal-Mart employee in NY get trampled this year? That's just sick. WTF is wrong with people?

Well I just woke up :P

I went to Best Buy with two friends at 7:30 PM last night, we were about 20 people back, apparently the people in the front of the line had been there since 11 AM!! The three of us got everything we wanted, so it was pretty cool.

Here's what I got:
HP laptop/printer Combo - $350 (for my grandpa)
Chinese Democracy on vinyl - $20
Magellan GPS - $80

After Best Buy, we went to Walmart, got some bargain bin DVDs and food. Then by that point it was nearly 8, so we went to Guitar Center and I got a Banshee Talkbox at 15% off!! It is the COOLEST thing EVER.

I didn't go anywhere because of the sales, there weren't any that were worth getting up early. We did go to a military surplus store by my grandparent's house and got some mickey mouse boots for $30 (valveless, the valved ones were twice as much). No more cold feet for me when I'm in the snow!

I worked in retail today... it was definitely less crazy than last year. News reports average retail sales down 25% from last year.
No purchases for me. I did get a haircut though.

Strange that nobody (minus tibia) would mention the DEATH of a walmart employee.

What's so great to get this year? And where are people getting this money from? I thought we were supposed to be depressed. :?

I dunno what I even want this year. It seems at the moment, I already have enough. (Including left 4 dead, who's up for a game?)

Oh wait, computer power supply. That would help.

Yeah, I mentioned that. Pretty f***ing sick, actually. My sister was watching some video where the paramedics were trying to revive the guy and people are still pushing into the store. I guess some woman also miscarried because of injuries she received? All for a crazy sale. Not cool.
