Anyone Going Out For Black Friday?
Just wondering. I might go hit up a Guitar Center, and then a Best Buy to see if anything worthwhile is left.

I'm going to hit up the local ACE sometime after 5.00. They had a B&D work table for $10 after rebates I was really interested in. Other than that, I prefer to stay out of peoples' way. I've seen enough fights when I actually worked retail.
This post brought to you by David Duchovny's glorious nipples.

Does it depress anyone else that Americans have a "holiday" sort of thing revolved around buying things for cheap, where people often get hurt, fight, and sometimes die because of it?
Greed seems to be what powers most of American these days.
Nothing against individuals, just America as a whole.

It is not a holiday, just a day for store owners to try and make money. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Canadian Boxing Day where you return presents, and then a rush of people try to pick up the returned items for a discount? A former Canadian(became an American) told me that.Kurt_ wrote:Does it depress anyone else that Americans have a "holiday" sort of thing revolved around buying things for cheap, where people often get hurt, fight, and sometimes die because of it?

Where I live, you get in line(Any store, like best buy, circut city etc.)and they go down the line asking what you want. Then they reserve it, give you a ticket. so if your last in line your going to get the doorbuster TV if you get the ticket. Then you can go hoe sleep come back and get it without worry.
