Critique my logo?

Post by khaag »

Hey guys, just wanted some opinions on my logo design for my portfolio... I'm setting up an online web-presence finally for my graphic/web design and just wanted some opinions on the logo so far.

Here's the one I'm leaning towards right now (Make's a cool wallpaper ;) ):

And these are the other toss-ups.

K. Ugh:
-I like the cool bolt idea, and I think you should try doing 2 on the K and the 1 on the B. It would make the letters more readable.
- To me, it seems like the actual logo piece is merely sitting on the background, and not really part of the whole thing. Not really sure how to fix it. Maybe its the colors, or the fact of how straight the edges are. Maybe try doing a layer with a slight Gaussian blur, and fade that under to relieve the straight edge strain. (This doesn't apply as much to the 2nd two, so maybe its more of the background then the main logo.

Those were the only two things that really popped out at me. Other than those two little gripes, It looks very good, and professional.
