I've noticed recently we've hit that point where topics are being pushed so far down the hole they're deleted and lost forever.

Some of these are links stickies refer to. Perhaps we should save them, in a sort of stasis. In a (locked) forum of their own.

Most importantly, remember G-force's amazing SJ3 info thread? All gone!

Why are they lost, is it because they are just too old or are there only a certain amount of topics that can be held before old ones delete?

You're sure they aren't just old links to an install that doesn't exist anymore?

I doubt there's any auto-pruning enabled...

EDIT: Threads like this:
http://benheck.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=2827

Still exist.
http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?t=2827

There are still threads in the Atari forum from back when phpbb was originally installed.

They're not getting deleted; they just need to be updated for the subdomain.

I say we delete every thread in the n64 forum that pertains to something in the sticky
I mean seriously there are so many damn topics that could be deleted in just that forum.

Can you double- err, no, triple check the panel so that there is no autoprune enabled? I had a little mishap with that stupid Autoprune. I hated it.

No. There are lots of really good details in the threads if you take the time to read them. Also, it is interesting to see the evolving of the threads, and old posters.
