I havent used an xbox original i a few years, but in a few weeks i will be buying one again.
due to owning a 360 now i have become accustomed to its controller.
before i get the original xbox i was just wondering if the guts of the s controller will fit into the 360s controller case, or is it to big?
Controller S in 360 case possible?

The interesting thing about the S and 360 controllers are that the Sticks, D-pad and ABXY contacts are spaced exactly the same, exactly, it's just the board and shell of the 360 controller that's smaller is all.
What ya want to do is possible and there are a couple of ways that can be gone about it, but it's a real mess either way and a good bit of work.

Not quite how I'd go about it, but that would be one of the ways.
I'd hack the crap out of the S board, down to just the essentials, and wire it up to a stripped down 360 controller board and stuff it all in the 360 shell, no tact switches so everything still feels like a 360 controller, same principle as the 360Duke, PS360 and 3PS60 controllers that I've done. It also means having an easier time with the Triggers, which would be a real mess going from the S board to the 360 shell, the only thing you'd loose is the Analog feature of the ABXY, Blk & Wht buttons, but most don't even know the controller has them, let alone use them in game.
