Sega MD2 joypad wire colors?

Hi, I`m having some problems to assemble Sega joypad since I forgot where I put notes for wire colors and positions, so if any of you have this kind of joypad (says made in Japan but I think it`s a Chinese) I could use some help, thanx.

Here's a pic from my controller of the same type:

From left to right, it's white, blue, grey, yellow, orange, green, red, brown, black.

Doesn`t match, I tried the both ways to be sure but only one button is responding.... guess wires are mixed because of different manufacturer. Any way thanx allot for your effort!

Is it still all hooked up to that white part? Or do you just have the bare wires?

No, it doesn`t have connector at all, just wires soldered to the board (like on the pic) but the wires come from the other side....and the pinouts are marked from 1 to 9 from left to right (glued IC is below)

Try this: The pic of the connector is when you're looking at the plug on the end of the controller cable.

that`s it, colours are mixed but on the cable - my black goes to 1, brown to 3 etc. I will try this one later. Thanx for the help again!
