If it's meant for disabled people like the access they probably will have a hard time holding it, so the original access would be a better choice anyway. If it's meant for you or me, I don't see the point of changing anything on the right side of the controller. The only thing I think would be great is being able to change places of the d-pad and left analog stick, the rest should remain in place. Just my 2¢.

I hope you're not 'making' this controller just so you can prove a point to your friend who is, as you said, full of bs. How about you buy the Phoenix Revolution Controller so he can swap the controls for his leftie-needs. Did I understand you right..? You wan't to make it work on both a PS3 and a 360? It certainly wouldn't be impossible, but it would be difficult, and it'd be quite tough to make it near as small as an original controller.
