wont read discs

thats right. my psone wont read discs.
it turns on just fine, it just wont read discs.
so far i have not done much to it except measure it and take the case off.
im guessing its something to with my brother who previously kept poking the lens just to bug me (thats the reason why i decided to check it in the first place).

Is there anything I can do? (if cleaning the lens doesnt help).

Clean the lens first, THEN ask. 90% of the time it's just dirty.

Don't worry about it until you've tried cleaning it. Always try the easy route first.

Just buy a new CD lens. Make sure it isn't a burner lens. I think any lens will do; take one out of a CD player.

Make sure the disk cover is closed tightly.
