spyware removal

hey guys, im having a big problem here, I don't know what happened or what went wrong but im having some real difficulties and am pretty sure this is the result of spyware, does anyone have a good link or suggestion as to how I can remove this problem?

2 things, do a google search(cause im to tired) spybot search and destroy, and ad-aware(websites something like lavasoft.com) anyways that should do the trick.

If you're running Windows, click start -> run. Type in "msconfig" and click on the "Startup" tab. If there is anything you find obviously wrong, like .exe files with random-generated names, then disable them.

Spybot and Ad-Aware are great. I have switched to Mozilla Firefox. There are a LOT less security holes than in swiss-cheese IE.

Turn cookies off, too. This can help prevent problems in the future.
Also, if you are an emulator fanatic, you may be using EZRomzDownloader. It downloads a new spyware program for every ROM you download. I'd avoid it like the plague. (It should be called EZSpyDownloader!!)
