If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

It uses the Gamecube power adapter with an 'pass-by-connector' for power and the adapter says 12V. Is this a problem since the SNES uses 9.8V?
You should be alright if you use 10v batteries. Who knows, maybe the screen will even run from 7.5 volts. The only way to know is to try.

No I haven't yet, I thought that I should do the led mod first.
Gonna search for a 5V tomorrow.
It might be better to find video first, just so you know the screen is working fine, and that you accidentally didn't do something to it during the mod.
I just want to thank you both for all the help, I will proceed with the screen when I get some time over but right now I have pooploads* to do at work before I leave for Thailand!
EDIT: *Oh, we have a filter for bad words here, didn't know that. Fixed
