Ugh, I wanted to go so bad. Warpath TV has a booth, a sponsor, everything, and I was supposed to make the trek out there to help run it. Unfortunately, I can't do MAGFest, MGC, and visit DC (college tour) all in the same general time frame and not be poor, so MAGFest was the odd man out.
Have fun though!

I went last year... going again this year. Your best bet as far as hotels are concerned are to room up with people.
There are people selling all kinds of things there (shirts, games, mods for games, dvds, etc) But it's also cool to just hang out there. There are arcade machines (all on free play) and a room just for gaming. They switch out the games every so often so you can try different things. There are plenty of areas where you can plug in (if you need to recharge your stuff)
There's assorted areas where people were even playing board games.
There's no such thing as "run of the mill people" I learned that when I went last year. There's different groups that are there that I've seen at various comic book, anime, or nerd conventions. And if you've frequent those three things you'll see that there's all kinds of people.
And SonyPortableizer you should let people crash at your spot... that'd allow for more people to go

Re: MAGfest Anyone?
I was so excited when I found out ben would be there. Maybe we should make a list of the people planning on coming.SonyPortableizer wrote:Yes finally a gaming thing close to my house!(1 hour yall)
So as I have never gone to one of these before, what do you do?(I read their site already)
Do you bring thing you make-Portables-or rare games you own?
Are there usually places to buy old(NES and above)games?
-And if their prices
What kind of atmosphere is there?(Like Really nerdy people, or the regular run of the mill people?)
Places to play games with other people?
Also and extremely weird question, is there AC? and benches?(I have my reasons and dont want to go into detail if I dont have to)
Anyone have more questions, just ask, and this can go the same for the one happening in WI(Not MAGfest, but the different one)
Unfortunately after Dec. 6 I'll be unable to walk for a while, so ill be the fat guy in a wheelchair
I'll have to see if I'll be working full time by then. If I am.... well there's a chance. If I can get January 2-4 I'll drive down. Virgina is a lot closer then Wisconsin, and gas prices are cheaper.
I'll keep you guys updated. So Ben knows to duck when I come into the room screaming "BENHECK!!!"
