gamecube error message
I ripped apart my gamecube and there's nothing attached to the motherboard besides my cooling system. So when i plug it into the tv, and turn it on, the logo pops up, but after a few seconds there is an error message. Is it supposed to do that or is my gamecube screwed? And my gamecube is a rev C gamecube, if that changes anything.
what does the error say, or is it only "ERROR" and nothing more, it should tell the reason of the error.

I have a gamecube that completely misses the top part (the driver) but it works perfectly but you can't use any games (guess why...) no Errors ever appeared and its alsohacked into little bits but everything is still atached so you could run it on any TV.

The controller ports board, led and battery are not needed, but the DD is.

I remember that error when I tried to portabilize the gamecube.
when I turned the gamecube without the DD installed, It gave a error message into a red box at the main gamecube menu.
that screen cannont be skiped, that means a unmoded gamecube needs the DD drive.
Anyway I did a nice discover with my qoob pro, if you turn on the gamecube with the qoob pro chip attached without the DD, it get a freeze screen, but if you hold the "Y" buttom of the first controller meanwhile it is turning on, you can go to the qoob options and lunch a dol (dol means gamecube executable binary file, this like an exe file for windows) from the qoob memory, I get this very usefull, due I used a dol wich load another executables from the sd card plugged into memcard A, this mean you can play games, and emulators without all the Disc Drive hardware present. maybe someone get usefull this info.
Anyway due several reasons I finally attached the DD and the BBA into my gcp project.
about the controllers board, it isn´t needed really. if you dont belive me look at this
this is the custom method I used to wire my gamecube controller, the power led , the battery to the system and the reset buttom, anyway most of those functions arent really required
