But able to run Windows CE 6.0 compared to not running windows CE 6.0 equals good.
Also, it doesnt have wifi due it being built to be a MP3/MP4 player NOT a pda. Yet, someone found out a way to access the CE 6.0 desktop on it. So its meant to be a music player that runs off of Windows CE Architecture, but someone found a way to access Windows CE on it thus making it a cheap PDA.

A 'real' desktop is worth bullcrap on a 320x240 display, especially when you're talking about a device that doesn't usually build up a complicated enough file system to require it.
As for the Start menu:

Windows Mobile 2003. The only thing it's missing is hierarchical folders. (But then it would basically be the Apple menu.)
Besides, in my experience all the Windows CE type software is designed for Windows Mobile devices, and it's a pain in the rear to find any free Pocket PC software that's worth using. You'd be better off buying a used Pocket PC off eBay, at least then you'd get WiFi, most likely Bluetooth, and maybe even VGA output. Plus, that MP4 player website says nothing about what architecture its' built around, or how fast the processor is.
Dell Axim x50v. VGA output, 600 mhz XScale processor, WiFi, Bluetooth, plus hardware 3D acceleration. Let's see your MP4 player do this:
