Hey guys. I adore iphones and such, but they dont just cut it for me.

Underpowered, and not many "good" apps for them.

Feel the same way?

Its a Newman Newmy Momo M Touch. Its $100. It runs windows CE 6.0 (with the wind touch interface), and ofcourse it has a multi touch screen.

But, us here at benheck are a modding community, and well this phone is very moddable.

Since it runs windows ce 6.0, you can EASILY access the explorer.exe and then close the windtouch ui.

What does doing that mean exactly? It means you'll have access to a start menu, and desktop. Since its windows CE, theres various emulators made for it. Such as Nes, Snes, GBA, Genesis, GB. From what I know, it can run: Nes, Snes, GB, Genesis. This thing was made to be a Mp3/Mp4 player, but it can actually be turned into a mini PPC. The only thing it doesnt feature, is wifi and its not a phone. So if your using your iphone for phoning people or wifi. Pick it back up. If your using it as a PDA, set it downnnnn.

I'm surprised that in this day and age it doesn't have WiFi. I thought that was practically standard these days, and I know I wouldn't buy a PDA that didn't have it.

Yeah it does have some neat features and I understand that some will go for this instead for, say, an iPhone. The thing is that I don't make use of all the features included in phones today. So that's why I like the iPhone, it has the phone, ipod, nice browsing and is clean/simple. But Apple could of course learn something from these competitors!

Seriously. My Dell Axim x30 has both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and I think it came out sometime in 2005.

My mobile is just a phone, has a colour screen but that is all. Just a phone. Nice and basic. No frills at all. Does the job. Barely use it anyway, just a few calls a year.

Dude, the MTouch is ANCIENT.

It's got very few good games, won't run most apps, and explorer.exe does not work on it. Do you read the MP4Nation Forums at all?

That thing is trash, I'd take an iPod Touch or iPhone anyday.

The Emulators on the iPod Touch and iPhone are great. Some people hate the touch screen controls but I love them because it gives me almost complete control over where the buttons are on the screen.
