Request: Custom Title

Hey guys. I'm requesting a custom title. Dont, hijack my thread.

As all of you know I made the PS3 Batarang controller. I was wondering if I could get a custom title for it. (Other users have gotten custom titles for their outstanding work.)

I'd like the title to say:

PS3 Batarang Creator

im going to go out on a limb and say that your request will be denied. we dont give out custom titles very often. if we were to give you a title we would have to do the same for everybody and frankly, customising a controller isnt all that amazing. build some working proper portables and you can get the portabalizer title

A note about custom titles, name changes, etcetera: It's a real pain in the butt to do those, especially under phpbb 2. (Custom titles, for example, require setting up a special rank for each title and making sure it won't interfere with your privelages.) We have other things to do besides dole out custom titles all day.

Generally we'll only give you a custom title in lieu of the 'Portablizer Extraordinare' title (which you're supposed to get after completing 4 or more full portables).

So no name changes or custom titles unless you have a really good reason for it. (Sorry, but modifying one controller doesn't count.)

Aren't "titles" just labels on phpBB2 and permissions are separate?

No, on a stock install of phpbb 2, you can only assign titles through custom ranks.

Wow man I go to post a reply here and that box that tells me I have a PM pops up, what are the chances of that? As for you're title, I'll be getting to that once I have this posted. You'll be a "Portablizer"! *cheer*

As for custom titles... sorry not going to happen unless we want to single you out, for good or bad. It requires making the title, then adding it to you're account personally. Really for a simple title it is a lot of work.

And that is why we had the "Portablizer" and "Portablizer Extraordinaire" made. People that make portables, which is the basis of this who site, get these for making them. Again you get a "Portablizer" title for 1-3 portables. 4+ your an "Extraordinaire".
