Cermic capacitor chaining

Post by ShockSlayer »

can ceramic capacitors be chained like resistors to get a higher uF ?

I need 2.2 uF (code 225) and I have one large one with a code 221 and I have 4 others with the code 1. Can I link these together to get 225 or not?

To combine capacitance you need to wire them in parallel.
