Well, I didnt work yesterday but i sure did brainstorm. I have a few ideas, so far all ive done is soldered. But, I wanna know how to connect the battery i have to the Mobo, so i can fire it up. Here are some pics straight from my bedroom floor.

Image
Image Ok this is pretty Much my mobo and controller. I have 1 more out of its case 2.

Image This is where i did some soldering. I removed the RF out and CH switch, but i think i wasnt supposed to also remove the ac adapter Plug in port. I figure if its running off batteries why would i need it? Hopefully im right.

Image And this is the NiMh Battery pack i have. It turned out, Heavier then i thought it would be. [/img]

Ok, I figured if i took off the Cartridge slot from my other Snes i can use ribbon cable to connect it to my current cartridge slot, allowing me to place the second cartridge slot where i please. Now, for the controls. Within the wire that connects the controller to the mobo, there are 5 Small skinny wires. 1 white 1 red 1 brown 1 yellow and 1 orange. I think i can solder them to the corresponding sections on controller part of the mobo, (the piece connected by ribbon cable) Then of course locate the controller where i need it to be. I decided id try using tact switches to get the controls working. any info, advice, help, or w/e you can give is always appreciated. If im wrong on something please tell me. :)

EDIT: Sorry the pics are so big, and that this post is real big because of it.

Double EDIT: The controllers Pinout is rather easy, 1,2,5,6,7, i think..... It was 2 days ago since i figured, ehh what am i doing. I could just go check now, ahh ok, its 1,2,3,4,7

Are you connecting the batteries straight to where the power input jack was? The black wire on your battery pack will go to your ground. I believe that's the lower of the two solder spots where the power jack used to be. The red wire will go to the upper one.

Ok, Not only am i going to write that down, im gonna thank you for that helpful info, ill start working on it later in the day. Again, thanks Tibia :)

EDIT: Ok, i looked at LoB's Really cool portables. So, i went over to poly case.com, Since Brian gets his cases mostly from there. I was considering Trying a Case from the OS series. Im thinking of bone or Gray.
DOUBLE EDIT: Ok Now i am also considering the AG-85. Its large and makes it easy for a slide in cartrigde slot.

Ok tibia, U got me all confused. If i Solder the wires to the indicated places u told me... how am i gonna charge the battery. Care to explain? I am fairly stumped. If these are the wires your talking about:

Image

Then im confused, i mean, isnt that the jack for charging?

Sorry. I didn't realize you were going to keep using that jack. There's two things you can do, then.

First, if you're really good at stripping wires, you can strip a bit of each in the middle and use more wire to get to the places on the board you need to.

Second, which is easier, is to cut the charging end off. Get two more pieces of wire, one to be the red, one to be the black. Connect all your red wires together, and solder the new wire you added to the board. Connect all your black wires together and do the same.

Also, you mentioned something about a "second cart slot". Are you talking about the smaller one that's on the bottom of the motherboard? That's just an expansion slot, and unless you have some add-on that needs it, I'd just leave it off and save the space.

Well, when i say second cartridge slot, i mean,... ok well, u know how you can remove that part of the cartridge slot, and then you have the piece under it thats soldered directly to the mobo? Well, The disconnectable part is what im talking about. I have 2 of the same snes's. If i leave the curent one connected. I can use ribbon cable to connect it to the other catridge slot. Then all game info and what not from the Game cratridge in the second one can be sent through the cable to the current cartridge slot.
Im Sure it can work..... "Maybe"......

YES, Im not a retard, and im learning more. By the way tibia. U, if i am correct, are the hidden user, arent you.
EDIT: i figure three users online that arent you, and 1 is hidden, yet you continue to answer me, (Very Much appreciated :) ) You gotta be the hidden one. Why does this concern me? IDK why should i care? IDK But i do wanna know how to stay hidden...

Double EDIT: Ok, so im right, but the other 2 red and black wires, do you want me to buy a whole new 7.2v battery to cut and connect to my current ones? or can i get them separatly?

Actually, I'm not the hidden user. I used to do that, but now I'm too lazy to bother. I'm pretty sure everyone knows by now that I don't have a social life. lol

You should be able to just get two pieces of wire for it. They could be colored differently, as long as they connect correctly. There's lots of things you can rip apart to salvage wire from if you don't already have any.

Yep. Just about. It won't have to be quite as thick as the wires on that connector, but don't use anything as small as what's in a controller cord.

Ahhhh Ok, Well Its 2 late now to run on down to my workShop. But tomarrow ill most definitly post a pic of it finished and working on my tv.
I would do it from my bedroom, but i dont have the wire here. (That and my dad said no soldering in the house.)If i did have the wire i might be able to wait till hes asleep, that and everyone else. But i also dont have a stripper on me.

EDIT: Ok, I mightve Just noticed that when i said "I don't have a stripper on me" I used the wrong choice of words, lol. Trust me, Im a 13 year old who can be taken for a 19 yr old. No, I do not have a Girl Who will willingy strip for me. But to what i was really geting at. I dont have a tool that can strip the rubber off the wire at the moment.

I come baring good news, but first, i shall thank the fair lady Tibia, for she has helped me quite nicely. Anyway, I have done as you have told, i stripped 2 new wires, and my current wires on the battery, and did some soldering. Once i was done, I Held the Holy Power switch, and pushed. Thus, the red light of power was born. (Yes, I made the system work.)
"Where is your proof young Knight?"
Right here your Lordship, take a gander:

Image

"Surely this is not where the battery will be."
Oh no Your Lordship, oh no, no, no. This is only temporary. its just being held there for now.
"Ive seen enough, Good work, carry on."
(Ok, for those of you weak minded. You readers/Members are my lordship, who i present my work to. Tibia is the fair lady, which is alrdy explained.(Im sure shes a girl, "I dont have balls, because if i did i'd have to think with them) I think thats more along the lines of what she said. Anyway, obviously i am the knight.) OK, back to the real world, yes this is my work. So far i got the battery working and its now charging. Now im trying to order a case from Www.Polycase.com and get the PS1 screen of Ebay. Thanx for all the help so far guys (And girl. :))

Sweetness! Congrats on getting this far! And yep, I'm female. lol I typically only admit it when I've been insulted like that, though.

About the case.... If you go with Polycase, take a look at the JB-65. It's not much bigger than the mobo, though. I'm debating between that and an extruded aluminum case for a project of my own.
