Need someone to burn two EEPROMS for me... (WTB/WTT)

Post by Mario »

So here's the deal. I want to do as I explained in this thread. I want to make an NES cartridge from a ROM. The thing is, I don't have a programmer, DIY ones look too hard to make, and commercial programmers are expensive.

The ROM I want to burn is an awesome game called Mario Adventure. Here is an article on it, as well as the download for it.

I need you to burn me two EEPROMS. One needs to be 256k, and must contain the PRG half of the game. The other must be 128k and contain the CHR half of the game. THE CHIPS MUST HAVE THE SAME PINOUT AS THE ORIGINAL NES ONES or else they will not work when soldered in.

I AM WILLING TO GIVE YOU up to $20 if you can do this for me, I may go a little higher. I can also trade a PS1 mini, but that's worth a little more than two chips, so maybe you can give a little more. Just post. We'll work it out. (BTW, I can pay through PayPal.) Thank you! :D

Wow, that's awesome.

I think I may just use that instead...

But now I need cartridge art.

HAH! Thats EXACTLY what I was looking for! Nice to see we're on the same wavelength. I had heard that there was a completed version with the programmer tools removed and translated.

Just check that guys site. I don't see Starfox2. I was able to google and find the SF2.7s rom image...now what?

I have a working ROM of it. Its not an actual translated version, but there's a separate patch-file for it that does translate it and remove the programmer tools.

1) It's called "flashing" an EEPROM. This might yield more results in searches

2) It's about $20-$140 for an EEPROM Programmer. Consider future costs. Is it worth it both in money and time to buy one?

Consider an eBay search.
