Your battery is fine, should last a couple of hours with everything attached. Issue is either : wiring (use thicker wiring, then find the culprit), not using C-Sync if using RGB, doing an RGB mod on PAL (doesn't work), NTSC screen on PAL console (or vice versa), not connected ground from console to the PSone screen, or fried N64 or fried PSone mobo. Think that covers it. Do the wiring, if no joy, hook up something else (composite) to the PSone see if that works.

My wire for video is twice as thick as the original wire for the screen so dont think thinness is the issue. Isnt hooking ground up just the black wire I have on the power of the 64 and the power of the screen that ends with the r/c car adaptor for the battery, then yes thats hooked up. But why isnt my 64 even getting powered on when I have the battery plugged in? the screen goes on like it does when I use its power supply as well as the 64 but I get no video. When I use the battery I get no video or power on the 64.

Assuming you are using 3amp wires to power the N64, looks like the N64 might be fried.

When we say connect the ground from the screen to the console we mean just that - use the grounding strips if you like, but connect a wire on the ground of the screen to the ground on the console. Try this first.

I hooked the grounds up and still nothing, but I dont think my 64 is dead yet. Because when the screen is just getting power from its regular adaptor you cant adjust volume or brightness, but when I turn my 64 on using the same adaptor from a different screen I had that outputs 1500 mAh I can do that. So wouldnt that problem just be insufficient power? and I think my battery wasnt doing anything because their was a problem with it or something.

Update
It was just not getting enough power! I re-attached the plug for the N64's original power source and viola! Now all I need to do is get a new battery because mine obviously isnt working (last time I buy one from ebay even though it was new). Thanks for all the input guys, im gonna post pics of my soon to portable as I go!
