Dilemma - NTSC GameCube screen or NTSC PSone screen?

Going to buy a Retro Duo soon, although I want to resolve the issue with the screen first.

Compatibility with SNES PAL carts is not as good as NTSC I know, but I need a small board to fit in my case as a full sized SNES PAL board is too big. I know also that some games run slowly on the Duo if there are lots of sprites on the screen at the same time, not surprising though as the system seems to work about 1/3 the speed of a SNES (as I recall); it is only a Chinese clone system after all.

The Retro Duo might work ok on a PAL screen with modding but I get the impression it will be disappointing and may not even work properly.

Solution has to get an NTSC screen to play my PAL games on, as the Retro Duo likes NTSC screens. Compatible.

Best solution is to get a PSone NTSC screen - problem is shipping from the USA is expensive on these items and of course the items are quite rare. Not many e-bay sellers want to ship to the UK, another issue. I could end up having to pay about Â£50 shipped ($90) to get one.

Second best option is to get a Joytech GameCube NTSC screen, same size; can buy for about Â£35 shipped.

Questions:

* Will the Joytech screen run happily on 7.4v? I don't want it if it only wants 12v

* Is the mobo for the Joytech screen a similar size to the PSone's (looks it from the pic above)?

* Is the screen quality of the Joytech similar to the PSone?

* Any issues with the GameCube screen I should be aware of?

Naturally, getting a PSone screen has to be the best scenario, I am just trying to find an alternative if I don't get lucky!

Well, I have a Joytech 5.6" GameCube screen and I'm having trouble following the screen hacking guide since the guts are different than PSone's as you can see here. One can wonder if these two GC screens have similar guts though? I hope this helps in some way.

would It be cheaper if I bought one and then shipped it to you? or would it be $40 to ship to the UK?

Ok, just paid for an NTSC PSone screen off e-bay; coming from USA so will take several days to arrive.

Went for that option as I know the size of the mobo and it will fit, whereas buying something different, I had no guarantee it would be the same size or smaller. Can't be bigger or won't fit in my case after all.
