psone controller and port question

for my PSp, i have a bunch of psx and psone (analog) controllers around, and also one that looks like a unlicensed psx controller. i the beginning, i used an analog controller, but decided that the analog joysticks took up too much space.

SO...

I went with the unlicensed controller, because it was my least favorite, and wouldnt miss it i screwed up. after i took it apart, i noticed how the analog controller had TWO little board things, where as the unlicensed had only ONE. i didnt feel like ripping up my other controller ( do to a healing broken thumb, my screwdiver skills are limited) and asked if this was normal and the other controller had an extra board for the rumble feature and anlog sticks.

Also...

Because i trust the analog controller better, being official and everything, i just wanted to know if i could snip this part off-

ANOTHER QUESTION..

in Bens PSps, the memory card and player 2 port are always somewhere where they werent originilay, and i can't figure out how to do this because i dont see any screws or anything.

do you have a soldering iron and desoldering iron? I haven't ever been inside my psone, but I'm pretty sure that ben desoldered it and then moved it by connecting wires to it Do you know how to solder?

yeah sorta, you can desolder the wire instead of clipping it I did it with a few nintendo controllers. Are you doing the psone from the book?

The controller chip is on the analog board. So if you want to make the controller unusable for everything but the analog sticks, you should refrain from snipping that.

Red circle or purple circle. I'm getting confused, the only white cord is the red circle, the purple one is grey.

Then refer to what I originally said, the controller's chip is on the analog stick's board, and it WILL NOT work if you cut the cord.

why not? ( the unlicisend controller doesnt even have the motherboard thing, and i never use analog sticks anyway)

Because that board has the chip on it.. If you wanted to, you could desolder the chip and solder the leads from the first board onto it, as well as the cable leading back to the ps1. But I really do think that's beyond your skill level.
