Possible dangerous candy alert!

Post by nightwheel »

This guy is a toy desginer. And his video most of the time are funny as heck. But this video is not a funny video. This is was a serious video: Clicky

What got him freaked is that there were some candy that was recalled in china because the candy was tainted with Melamine. And I just sent him a message say that some Melamine tainted candy was found in the states already. And that news story about Melamine tainted candy found in the states was posted October 2nd. And He posted his video on October 19th. I don't know about you but this is not a good thing. And we need to spread the word about this

And to anyone who is wondering what Melamine is, here ya go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melamine

The first and most easily identified contaminant in the vegetable protein is melamine. However, melamine is not considered to be especially dangerous to animals or humans
aparently it can cause illness in concentrations significantly higher than allowed limits (EG 100x the allowed ammount). also melamine by itsself is non-toxic in low doses
Melamine by itself is nontoxic in low doses, but when combined with cyanuric acid it can cause fatal kidney stones due to the formation of an insoluble melamine cyanurate.[12] Melamine is described as being "Harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Chronic exposure may cause cancer or reproductive damage. Eye, skin and respiratory irritant.â€
