as a screen im using a gameboy advance. i read that you have to use some sortof cartridge so it works as a screen.

Also, is there a possible way to mod a memory card and a psone so it can play game straiught off the card (like a psp)?

That cartridge will not work. I think you need the TV Tuner:

To answer the question about the whole playing games off the memory card situation: No. Besides, the memory card doesn't have enough room to hold a game anyways.

you do realize that you'll not only have the entire gameboy intact, but also an antire gameboy TV tuner whcih is just as big as the gameboy itself? that's a lot of space wasted for such a small screen.

exactly what do you mean by an inbuilt memory card?

one that you just save games onto or one that you put like the ISO's onto and play it straight from the memory without a disc?

Both are possible, im actually sing both for my PS1P, mine doenst have a disc tray, i have all the games in a memory card in the system.

Ive made its own operating system for it and everything

But im not going to show anyone how to do that, atleast not until i have fully finished my PSOneP.....

it has what you need in one of the parts, and even to put a memory card slot in it....

for mine, ive got the slot one with inbuilt memory to save straight onto the system, and then slot 2 is out of the console so you can plug a memory card in it..... but it is alle xplained in that tutorial above.....
