And I am trying to finish it still. If you want a refund I will not argue since it has taken me much longer to make this vacuum form than originally planned.
Monitary and design setbacks were a big part in it, and then to discover that the heating element I originally planned to use would not work was also a large setback.

I understand, man. I didn't mean to sound like I was attacking you. I just got angry to see you starting other paid projects. Honestly, I much rather have a working vacuum table than the money. If you still think that you can finish it some time in the not-so-distant future, then you have my trust. Also, like I said in the other thread, I'm willing to pay for parts is money is a problem.

I over reacted last night. I was tired. You're doing me a favor. I want to build portables, but I really don't wanna mess with live 120v projects.

Unfortunatly I know what you mean, it hurts....a lot...

The only main challenge I have left is to build a clamping frame to hold the plastic.

Ok, I made a CAD of an alternate design. Well, actually the design is basically the same, it just uses a 3.5" lcd instead of the puny 2.5" one that the other one uses. The only problem is that (although the 3.5" screen makes a huge difference as far as playing games go) it raises the price by almost $140!! I'm willing to say that the extra size is worth it though

Scherzo, Gannon might take his sweet time getting something to you but he will. It took what from June (ordered my NOAC & converter) to December til I got it. Yeah he offered me a refund but Gannon wont forget about it.

Gannon as your new design is using a 3.5" screen does this mean your using the same screen as Ben's Pheniox?

Yeah, it will. The screen actually draws 170mA less (Edit: forgot that it needs a boosting converter, so it actually only draws around 14mA less, but then figure in effeciency of the converter and it draws about the same) than the hip screen pad too

It's around $165, not sure if that falls into your classification of "cheap enough"

Ouch! I think I'll go with the $20 hip gear screen.
Is the screen really good or something? It's more expensive than a Radioshack 3" screen.

It's a 3.5" lcd with a LED backlight. No extra TV parts to get in the way either.

lol, unfortunately the NOACs I have for sale aren't really compatible with my mass production design

I could use them for it, but it'd be a lot more work on my part, and I don't like a lot of work

I can't help but feel that this project isn't kinda futile. With things like the Pokefami and Game Theory Admiral out on the market, your product would cost over double as much for very little benefit...
And before I get attacked and everyone says, "Hey! But these are hand-made!"--not by the person who ends up with it. I'm all for people deciding they want to do something themselves, but when using an NOAC and similar parts to build something for someone else... been done already.
That said, I'm just hoping your design is REALLY cool to compete with Pokefami.
(And for all of you who are thinking "Yes, but Pokefami and GTA suck." let me remind you that you could always just replace the case.)
