Oh hey, wallydawg, that reminds me, bring my Nintendo screwdriver. I hope a year was enough time to open that case! (I kid, I kid. I really don't need it back in any expedient manner, obviously! :P )

Oh crap that's funny. He asked me at the convention where you were like 10 minutes after you left, lol. Guess the whole deal of mailing it out fell through.

Hey guys, lets try this this year. Someone needs to bring a console with a multi-player tournament style game... like Smash Bros. Brawl or the like. If someone can handle that I'll gladly bring a case or two of Red Bull (or similar drink). I don't want to have to try Guitar Hero again.

Hmmm, I'm starting to wonder now... with all these people, we're pretty much bound to get a ton of noise, and those walls are paper thin. Maybe it would be a good idea to look into another option for a place to stay, like renting a cabin or something along those lines? Anything big enough to fit us and without neighbors next door would do the trick. Unfortunately, that may be hard to find in a more urban area like Milwaukee, but maybe someone has some idea, especially any locals?

Yeah, Smash tourney FTW! :D I may lug my 360 along this time for some Halo 3/CoD4 action (yeah, sellout games, but I like 'em). If you've got the Red Bull, Sparkfist, I'll get the Monster. I think 24-packs are like $35 now at the Costco in Auburn Hills, I pass it every day on the way down to Royal Oak, too...

If everyone chipped in, a weekend townhouse or something would be cool. :P

2 years ago, we had 5 of us in the hotel, technically in 2 rooms (me, you, Bethany, gannon, and G-force). Last year, we had 11. This year, we have a ton of people already psyched for this, 5 months before it even starts. Do you really think that we'll have 11 people? Plus, technically these rooms aren't supposed to have so many people.

I was in Canada last summer, and they caught me with having 5 people in a room when I said I'd be the only one (ok, so I said 1 person in a room with 2 queen beds and a couch, not exactly unobvious, but still). Thankfully, they did apply some discounts so it worked out to be about $10 more per person, but it could have been a HELL of a lot worse, to the point where the extra person fees would have been more than the room cost. Now imagine if there were 15 or so people with 2 rooms.

Brian has a good point. We were relatively lucky the hotel didn't catch us. Even though we did try to avoid detection (Brian tried to have us show up at different times and avoid running through the lobby together) we're still at risk.

I second the idea of somewhere else, but I suppose the hotel will work for backup.

Obviously, I won't keep it out of anyone's reach, but we will have quite a few people to "absorb" any extra costs, too.

I agree that going somewhere else would be a good idea but remember it seems like a lot of people this year it is still 5 months away. There is a good chance that a lot of people will have changed plans. Either way we need to keep a list. Last year I believe we just keep the list in the first post.

Hmm, depending on how many people end up coming, we could get 2 rooms at a hotel.

Wait, didn't we get one noise complaint? I vaguely remember being asked to shut the hell up.

Well according to the hotel's website they allow up to 5 people per room. So three rooms.

If 15 people go, it would work out to about $34 apiece for Friday to Monday.

You could always do one suite as the main hangout/room and have a separate room for sleeping...

Problem is, they charge you more if you have more than 2 people. For example, a suite with 2 queen beds goes for $140/night if you have 2 people, $160 for 4 adults. Same goes with the cheaper rooms, $20 increase when you go from 2 to 4 adults
