IIRC, it already has. I know that FC2 didn't come with mp3 support because of legal issues, and redhat is a USA based company IIRC.

Its funny Fedora doesnt have the mp3 or Mpeg-2 codecs installed but they give you the url for the patches to install them. Very ironic.

SuSE (which I have now) does have the mp3 codecs installed but as I was looking to download Mplayer to replace Kaffine and play DVDs. I got that page, however if you want I did go though linux.org and used the download url they had listed.

And as for this happening in the U.S. it has generally been safer for all open source stuff in Europe.

I can send you the RPMs you need for DVDs in SuSE, if you want. It'll work with MPlayer, Kaffeine, and pretty much anything that has a DVD option :D

@Spongebuell, It should be ok like I said I used the download URL and got to the SuSE rpm (just need to install it).

@Nightmare, Software patients will cause more damage to anyone making software in general. In Europe they want to have a patient for scroll bars, loading bars and stuff like that very general things that essentally no one person has developed or has a claim to.
