If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.
You already made a thread about this, and you were told there where many threads already made about it, and you were also told that it would prolly work for the NES. I dont see any reason it wouldnt.
Well, depending on which system you get it for, the end of the wire prolly plugs into the system. You'll just have to find the A/V pinout for watever system you by it for, match it up to the screens plug, and then find a way to get the correct signal (composite im sure) out of the NES.
On that controller you plan on buying, it will have two wires (im guessing, as this is wat makes sense). The one will plug into the controller port, the other to the A/V port on the system its supposed to be used for, since a cotnroller port cant output video and audio and such. This wire is just like the plug that normally plugs into your home tv. It will have input pins that match up to the output pins on the console. All you have to do is find which pins are the video (and audio if you want it) out/in, and then you can wire the NES into those. I don't know how else I could explain it.
how would i figure out hich pins are audio and video. plus how would that work for the nes it only has 6 buttons te ps2 and xbox abd gc have a lot of buttons
Basically, the screen and controller are to totally different peices. You dont need to worry about the buttons. All you want is the screen. You would really need one of these for me to explain this to you better. If anyone has any pics of one of these it would be extremely helpful.
If you've seen one of these you might notice that the screen is liek, not even really connected to the controller. Its on there on a little swivel, but you could probably just cut it right off. That way you got them seperate and you can take the controller and use it or burn it or w/e you felt necessary.
